Metastatic Prostate Cancer
The Challenge
Prostate Cancer (PC) policies and initiatives focus on screening and diagnosis to aid in early detection. However, metastatic patients are often left out of conversations as PC is seen as a "good” cancer to have, which can lead to patient challenges being overlooked.
Our client aimed to enhance their understanding of the patient journey in Europe, particularly those with metastatic disease. by establishing a collaborative advisory council with leading Prostate Cancer Patient Advocate Groups.
Our Solution
To help our client strengthen their advocacy and policy endeavors, We launched a Prostate Cancer Patient Advocacy Summit in Milan, Italy to outline major struggles within prostate cancer.
Following the summit, a Prostate Cancer Patient Advisory Council was established and it successfully:
Held several robust conversations that inform patient engagement strategies and meaningful initiatives that will lead to better outcomes for patients.
Developed a multi-year strategy roadmap to guide the client’s Prostate Cancer advocacy approach with planned initiatives co-developed with the council focused on incorporating key policy and access priorities.
Began evolving discussion with Council members from only screening/early-stage patients to include metastatic patients.
Created opportunities for Council members to engage with client leadership.
